Cameroon

Some nation states, like Greece and Paraguay are relatively ethnically homogeneous, and some are smaller version of the Empires of the past. A large mix of different cultures and languages. Cameroon is nicknamed 'Africa in Miniature' with more than 1700 linguistic groups. The Bantu migrations are believed to have started in the area some 2,000-3,000 years ago. Given its history as a marriage between a French and British protectorate (after having been a German colony before WWI), Cameroon is a member of both the Commonwealth of Nations and La Francophonie. Cameroon's Central African CFA Franc is shared with 5 other countries, interchangeable with the 8 countries of the West African CFA Franc, and pegged to the Euro. CFA is a French acronym for the Financial Community of Africa.
