Atonement

Kiera Knightley, James McAvoy

Not a movie to watch if you want to leave the cinema with a spring in your step. At times I wanted to slit my wrists as they really give you an extra helping of angst. Probably more of a `Cinema Nouveau’ film, I am actually quite surprised it is on the main circuit. That being said it is probably deserved of its Oscar Nominations which it is apparently set to dominate.

But don’t go watch if you want to smile.

I haven't seen it yet, and I have my doubts about how much I'll enjoy it, but the book is a contender for my favourite book (you should read it).

And I'll march myself to my own execution, but in this case my feeling is that the book is bound to be better...

Was wandering if it is a true story?

It is a movie that says it is a movie of the book...

So it gives the impression that it is true.

Hectic.

`The Kite Runner' is a book my mom has been wanting me to read... it is on my bedside table. I see it has now been made into a movie.

Is it weird that that makes me want to read it?

making a movie of a book is a good sign that the books is good. all else equal, it should make you want to read it first.

hmmm... I dont want to give anything away, but it sounds like they might not have gotten the book across all that well (in fact, in a way, it might now even be possible).

intrigued?
