An Innings And 90 runs

I must admit to being surprised when I woke up on Thursday morning to see that SA were batting at 74-0 but were in deficit of 2 runs. The penny didn't drop immediately, but when it did I was super chuffed. We had blown India away to be 76 all out and we then went on to pass their Total without loss.

In the end we won by an innings and 90 runs.

Kallis past Bradman's number of centuries scored (30 to 29)
De Villiers scored his maiden double century
Steyn took another 5 wicket haul - he is on fire

The side is well balanced and everyone (except Ashwell Prince) is contributing. Ashwell can have his dip, everyone does, but what is so nice is that most of the team are in good form. We are not relying on one or two players.

As a little bizarre incident, Kallis was batting when the ball went from his pads onto the stumps fairly solidly but the bails didn't come off! Whoever prepared the pitch was obviously hoping India were going to be batting first. Can't have made the Indians smile after having being all out for 76!

(I am trying to not get excited about the upcoming Australian Series. I always get excited. I always get disappointed.)
