This could be quite a significant year for me in a number of ways, one of which is a dramatic shift in my stance on nationalism and patriotism.
I felt a little `kots in my mond' when I read a comment by McCain in his challenge to Obama to a town hall debate. He said, something along the lines of `Let's just sit down, two men in the greatest nation on earth to chat'. The only words I am definitely quoting are...
`greatest nation on earth'.
Don't get me wrong, I allow myself a lot of latitude in sport, and maybe I am overreacting to compensate for past beliefs.
Ok.... let me take a moment to gather my thoughts about this post.

I'm sure you'll think I'm just trying to give you a pain in the arse, but what's the big deal?
Is America not the greatest country one earth? Even plausibly? Shouldn't he have said that.
Isn't it a pretty good bet that the US is in fact the greatest country in history. And yes, I do realise that the criteria are subjective.
