So... here are some of the things on my mind, in brief and in no particular order, which I am thinking about. At some stage I will post on them.
1) Candor and living in a world with no secrets.
2) Feedback and figuring out what you need to ignore and what you need to use.
3) Using technology to improve efficiency.
4) What are core rules that you should be inflexible about?
5) Do we listen in the same way we read, by only `seeing' some of the words. When you listen, the message you hear is not the same as the one spoken in the same way as when you watch something, everyone sees something different.
6) The `bottleneck' effect of communication. In other words, it is not possible to communicate fully given the multiple channels required and length of time/commitment needed to truly understand. How do you better choose the channels.
7) What measures would be needed for an afro-pessimist to be proved correct or wrong, i.e. Someone who says, SA is going down. What measures could be used in a prediction market for them to put their money where their mouth is?
8) Does party politics make sense? Shouldn't we be able to vote for individuals?
9) Where should you put your money?
10)Should you never pledge allegiance to any group... country, company, society, religious group, sports team or party. Rather just say you will always make the best decision based on what you believe at the time.
11) Willingness to disagree with your past self. Maybe it is not a case of `changing your mind' but rather at each point you make your mind up based on all sources of information. How committed should you be to `defending' past opinions?
12) Stop interrupting people when they talk. Genuinely listen to what people are saying without just waiting (or not waiting) for your turn to speak.
13) Whats up with the new political party, what are the policies and is this a new and positive step for SA?
