When I was 13, I got into a huge verbal fight, calmed by a confused Maths teacher, because I said 'Jesus was a Communist'. I had said it because I knew the person I was arguing with was Christian, as was I. Trev: Jesus good > Communism good. Him: Communism bad > Trev is insulting Jesus. I understood Communism to mean sharing - 'From each according to his ability to each according to his need.' Words are loaded. They mean different things to different people. Advice, and opinions, are autobiographical. People will react, emotionally and intellectually, to words we choose. They aren't always heard in the way we intend.
