Shared Experience

I believe we are who we are, through our relationships. We are more than the sum of our interactions. We grow and exist together. People become a part of our lives. We go with them, and they with us. Our thoughts become flavoured by an internal conversation of which they are a part. It is in the way that we treat other people that we create meaning. Significant shared experiences pull us together, and forge an identity. When we part, we are more than we were. When we close our eyes, they are with us still. And when we open them again, relationships change the way we see the world.
