Money is not a thing. Don’t make making money about defining you. It’s not about you. For most of us who live hand-to-mouth, it appears to be about us. This is because making money is primarily about financing our lifestyles. There is a direct connection between how we live and what we earn. This isn’t necessary. Capital snaps the connection between hand and mouth. Once you solve the survival problem, you can lift your eyes to bigger problems. Poverty, Climate Change, War, Financial Meltdown, and Pandemic are five core problems Hans Rosling identified. If you don’t have the skills, others will. If you don’t have the knowledge, others will. Money is made by solving problems in a container. A clear ask matches a clear offer in a way that can be priced. Be part of a problem-solving team. But you are not a problem. You are not meant to be contained. Money is an empowerment tool, not a name tag.
