Releasing Creativity

I have lots of Creative friends who have rejected the world of money. The problem remains. I studied money partly because I hated it. More specifically, I hated money fights and I hated when my choices shrunk because some Needs Must jumped on my back. Yet we live in a world with basic financial requirements. It is possible to build Engines to free people from the constraints of money making. It is possible to live a very basic life, and so free up time to do unpaid work. Supporting family and friends. Community work. Child-care. Even having enough time to engage constructively in politics. A Universal Basic Income could release the creativity of a huge swathe of people. There are good ideas, and there are good business ideas. Sometimes they match. An Engine (built from ideas that are easy to monetise) is pointless if it doesn’t create something more than the energy it consumes.
