Mixed Bag

It is always quite exciting getting a delivery from Amazon. I normally go a little crazy and fill up my shelf for the next few months all in one go.

So, here is what you may be hearing about in the next little while...
  1. Karl Popper - Conjectures and Refutations
  2. Richard Dawkins - The Blind Watchmaker
  3. Richard Dawkins - The Selfish Gene
  4. Ken Robinson - Out of our minds
  5. Dean Simonton - Greatness
  6. John Medina - Brain Rules
  7. Matt Ridley - The Red Queen
  8. Chip and Dan Heath - Made to Stick
  9. Strauss and Eliot - The Life of Jesus: Critically Examined
  10. Seth Godin - Tribes
The Medina and Robinson books are probably the ones I have been most looking forward to reading. Tribes, I got on Saturday and is almost finished. Godin's books are really easy to read, short, and get you to all sorts of new levels of excitement. Just 120 pages. I won't lie, number 9 is more like a text book and is 100 years old, so don't wait with baited breath for a review. Unless anyone else is maybe willing to buy it too, then we can read it at the same time and give each other motivation to read through the tome. It is apparently well worth it.
