Africa isn't a Country

Hans Rosling is a bit of a TED rockstar if that makes sense. He is a fascinating and enthusiastic speaker who has done some brilliant work in getting data to 'come alive' and convey a story.

From standing on table to swallowing swords, he is not afraid of using tricks to get peoples attention, and his message is powerful.

Do yourself a favour and watch all his talks on TED... this year's one was great. It is looking at data on the progression of the AIDs epidemic around the world. It dispels some common misconceptions and raises some interesting questions.

Particularly interesting is when he breaks individual countries into different provinces, and different income groups... some surprising results.
