I love teaching people new things, or helping them to understand old things. At university I spent more time helping fellow students than completing my own assignments. At work I became "The guy who will fix your computer". And then the Astronomical Society made me their Director of Astrophotography, and suddenly I was the underqualified official. I was proud of my photos, but the people I was supposed to be directing were so far ahead of me. I had to swallow my pride and become the student. Turns out that there's as much joy in learning as teaching.
