Compounding

Hereditary privilege selects Olympic Athletes based on their parent’s times. Compounding wealth makes a mockery of meritocracy. The most powerful investment force is time, and one generation is not sufficient. It took thousands of years for the powers of the spoken, written, and shared word to connect all our best ideas. If we live hand-to-mouth (connecting our earning capacity to our consumption capacity), we are playing a completely different game to those who see beyond themselves. A different game from those who build, and pass on, Capital. Sovereign Wealth Funds provide a clue to solving the conundrum of privilege and meritocracy. Community Wealth Funds could compound our shared capacity.
