Price is not value. Price is
simply a clearing mechanism. Trade releases value when both the buyer and
seller feel better off. What the individual value is, is irrelevant if both
parties feel good about the deal. The price doesn’t have to be “right”. This
only works when there is full transparency, understanding, and consent. When
the “Monday Feeling” is still that it was a good deal. When the trade is
relational rather than transactional, and no one is being hoodwinked by a manipulative
story. Forced Sellers or Forced Buyers have no choice but to trade. The Price
pops in the opposite direction to their sense of its value. They lose all
negotiating power. If you don’t have the power to walk away from a trade, it isn’t
really a trade. Building Buffers helps avoid that situation. Space to breathe.
Space to take your time about a decision, until you feel sufficiently
empowered. There is seldom a good reason to rush.
Make Space
